When Will My Item Arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3–5 business days. If your item or order is large, it may ship via one of our third-party freight carriers, which deliver from semi trucks with lift gates. Freight delivery is much more complicated than standard parcel shipping — you must schedule a drop-off time, be present for the delivery, and move items from the curb to your residence, among other differences. Sound stressful? If you prepare in advance with ourguide to freight delivery, it doesn’t have to be.

We strongly encourage reading the entire freight delivery guide, but here’s aquick snapshot of what you need to be ready for when you order a large package:
  • Your freight carrier will call you to schedule a delivery window of about 4–8 hours
  • You’re required to be physically present at the specified delivery location during the scheduled window
  • Freight shipments are carried in semi trucks, which have lift gates to assist with unloading
  • Freight deliveries are dropped off at the curb and no further — not up the driveway, not the porch, not the garage, and most definitely not the backyard — so it’s on you to transport packages to their intended locatio
  • For an easier time hauling items to your home or backyard, arrange for at least 2 helpers to be on standby during your delivery window
  • You must sign for the shipment to indicate that you’ve accepted the delivery

Again, we recommend reading our entire breakdown of freight delivery so you can become familiar with the process. Trust us when we say that getting caught off guard with the strict requirements of freight delivery can lead to a whole lot of headaches.

An outdoor kitchen structure is no different from any other environment or structure that handles gas equipment. It simply needs to be ventilated because, without proper airflow, trapped gases can cause an explosion that can oftentimes result in terrible injuries or even death. Over the past few years, BBQGrills.com and other retailers of BBQ 12-Inch x 4-Inch Stainless Steel Island Vent Panel | 42500 Islands and Outdoor Kitchens have noticed an alarming trend in safety-related accidents stemming from improperly constructed bbq islands. In each case, these accidents could have been prevented with simple venting. By nature, propane gas is heavier than oxygen, making it more susceptible to collecting in places without airflow. Natural Gas, although lighter than oxygen, can also build up. These types of gases can and will collect in confined areas, making it imperative that an outdoor kitchen be vented correctly to allow these gasses to escape. Unfortunately, there are currently no specific codes that reference venting when building an outdoor kitchen. The nightmare scenario is created when you combine a BBQ that has been neglected, a collection of excess debris, grease, and carbonized food particles with an outdoor kitchen structure that has not been vented. If the debris catches fire and gas has collected under the BBQ, then you can imagine the disastrous scenarios that could possibly play out. Many contractors are simply unaware of the need to vent outdoor bbq kitchens. Many brands across our industry felt that there was a need to do something to prevent these types of accidents and try to lower the number of accidents related to non-vented outdoor kitchens. That?s when the venting panel was introduced as part of our extended product lineup.

Features

  • An outdoor kitchen structure is no different from any other environment or structure that handles gas equipment. It simply needs to be ventilated because, without proper airflow, trapped gases can cause an explosion that can oftentimes result in terrible injuries or even death.
  • The most important thing when installing gas vent panels into your outdoor kitchens is to consider placement. At companies like Bull BBQ, we place several vents in our outdoor kitchens to create a cross-flow of air. The rule of thumb is to place a vent panel every 6-feet in your outdoor kitchen space and to simply remember that too many vents are not a bad thing.
  • By nature, propane gas is heavier than oxygen, making it more susceptible to collecting in places without airflow. Natural Gas, although lighter than oxygen, can also build up. These types of gases can and will collect in confined areas, making it imperative that an outdoor kitchen be vented correctly to allow these gasses to escape.
  • BBQ Island vent panels do a lot more than just regulating the gas airflow of the interior of your outdoor kitchen, they considerably help with the help of airflow in general. For instance, let?s say that your outdoor kitchen project is near a beach or coastal climate. The salty atmosphere of that environment over a long period of time can be trapped in the interior of your bbq island cabinet and cause rust and could essentially decay the structure as a whole.
